Solvang

  Solvang is a city in Santa Barbara County, California, United States.  The population was 5,245 at the 2010 census, down from 5,332 at the 2000 census. Once just a village, Solvang was incorporated as a city on May 1, 1985.^[3] Solvang was founded in 1911. The city is home to a number of bakeries, restaurants, and merchants offering a taste of Denmark in California. The architecture of many of the facades and buildings reflects traditional Danish style. 





The Hans Christian Andersen Museum



The Hans Christian Andersen Museum is operated by the Ugly Duckling Foundation, a non profit organization established to foster public understanding and enjoyment of Hans Christian Andersen and his work. The Museum is located upstairs in The Book Loft Building ( 1680 Mission Drive) in Solvang.  Open Daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 PM.

Danish Mill Bakery

  The Danish Mill Bakery is one of those "must go to" places if your in Solvang or in the Santa Ynez valley in particular.  Solvang is known for its bakeries, and this is one of the better ones.





Santa Maria

BBQ Capital of California

  Santa Maria is a city in Santa Barbara County, on the Central Coast of California. The 2010 census population was 100,062, putting it ahead of Santa Barbara (the county seat) for the first time and making it the largest city in the county. The estimated population of the area is 161,227, which includes the Santa Maria Valley, the city of Guadalupe and the unincorporated township of Orcutt. The city is notable for its wine industry and Santa Maria Style Barbecue.

  Strwaberry Farms

The Santa Maria Valley’s vast agricultural heritage is represented by many crops, the most colorful of which are strawberries. The region’s uniquely moderate coastal climate is a perfect match for this fragile berry, with warm winters and cool summers that support an extended growing season of up to 10 months per year. Santa Maria produces over 20 million trays of strawberries annually which are distributed both domestically and internationally.

  Santa Barbara is the county seat of Santa Barbara County, California, United States. Situated on an east-west trending section of coastline, the longest such section on the West Coast of the United States, the city lies between the steeply-rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Santa Barbara's climate is often described as Mediterranean, and the city is widely known as the "American Riviera."

Outdoor Activity Reflections

  We went to Hwangyeong Hike on Friday, November 4. The air was incredible clean and the fallen leaves rustled in the wind. We really enjoyed beautiful fall.

 After hiking, we had a special meeting in Ganganlee. We ate raw fish and talked over our feelings. I really love all my members. Class 3 FOREVER!!

Dongjeom

We traveled by train to Taeback. It is called "눈꽃열차". Dongjeom is the highest station in Korea.

It was their first train journey. In Busan, we couldn't see lots of snow, so they really enjoyed it.
